Heather Lake Hike
Wanting to get out and stretch our legs on a beautiful weekend, we decided to drive over to the Mountain Loop Highway and hike to Lake 22.  Being one of the most popular hikes in the area, however, we arrived to a parking lot that was overflowing with cars all the way out onto the road.  Instead, we opted for a very similar hike to Heather Lake, which could probably be considered a sister to Lake 22 in many respects.

Heather Lake from a scramble up the slope of the cirque that envelopes the lake.  We climbed up to get a closer look at all of the waterfalls coming off the steep slopes of Mount Pilchuck.
